Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 Review – Japanese Rice Cooker

This is the default text

In this Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 review I want to talk about one of the most popular rice cookers that is sold across America today. To begin with, it is a 5 1/2 cup device. This is the middle size. Smaller machines are 3 cup and the larger size is 10 cup. These numbers refer to the number of cups of un-cooked white rice that each unit can cook when filled to maximum capacity. Mid-sized appliances make great family rice cookers.

The NS-ZCC10 in particular has a number of features that make it a very popular choice. To begin with it is a Japanese rice cooker made by the Zojirushi company. They are widely recognized as the top producer of these kitchen appliances. Other brands that you might want to compare them against are Sanyo and Panasonic who also sell a number of cookers in North America.

Zojirushi’s NS-ZCC10 is a Micom rice cooker with Fuzzy Logic technology. This actually makes it an advanced Micom device. Zojirushi call their version of Fuzzy Logic – Neuro Fuzzy. In fact they have trademarked this phrase. This helps to guarantee that each grain of rice is cooked to perfection. The Micom part is actually a computer chip. This controls the functioning of the device. Many other rice cookers have this but not many include Neuro Fuzzy.

This machine is the best rice cooker that does not have Induction Heating. There are jumps in price between standard electrical rice cookers and Micom machines. But to get a decent one, you really have to choose Micom. Then there is another jump between standard Micom and Micom plus Induction Heating. There is a difference but it is less pronounced and it costs quite a bit extra to get an Induction Heating rice cooker. Therefore the Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 represents good value for money. It is a high quality rice cooker that comes at a reasonable price.
