Actors, actresses, a particular character in a movie or the latest trend in fashion are some of the most common reasons behind the need for hair care products. There are many different types of hair care products available on the market, some are for styling, and yet others are for permanent hair removal for those parts of your body where there is no need for hair. Before you decide that this is absolute nonsense and skip this article, I suggest you take a few minutes to read it through. After all, reading is the most neglected habit since hair styling and make up took up all your spare…wait a minute! For some people these activities have taken up all their time!
First, lets look one of the common scenarios that happen in almost household. You watch a movie that shows Angelina Jolie sporting a new hair style and think, “I HAVE to get this done!” You rush to your hair stylist the first chance you get or maybe even skip work for this much needed change. Your stylist, the modern and up to date person, has already started working on the latest fad and is versed with the latest technique to pave the way for you to become an Angelina lookalike, or hairalike. She whips out some brand new products, puts you through hours of treatment, washings, applying various products and dyes and finally unveils your new look. “Yes”, you exclaim, “That’s exactly what I was looking for.”
Lets forego the fairytale ending of “and you lived happily ever after” and pursue this scenario a little further. A few days after your new found hairstyle, you are happily getting ready for school or work and gloating over the looks of envy you have been receiving. Enter: The tangled hair. You realize that this is not the only time your hair is so tangled that you can’t brush it without breaking it. You also realize that your hair is drier than previously. Maybe it was the new shampoo? No. Maybe the new conditioner? No. Maybe…it WAS the hair treatment! Reality dawns as you look at the unruly mess on your hair and see what it has done to the once shiny locks that were your pride.
To cut short the sarcasm, products that straighten, perm, curl or dye your hair are often very damaging for the hair and its cuticle. They strip the hair of its natural oil and cause it to break and dry up. This is where hair care products come in. Now, do you agree with the first sentence of this post?
